Moderna desperately needs new products since the Covid-19 shot demand has fallen and the firm has no other products on the market. The firm's stock price fell by 45% during 2023 as a result.

Penguin Random House’s $2.2 Billion Deal for Simon & Schuster is Over (Micro News for November 26, 2022 – December 2, 2022)

A recent federal court ruling blocked the merger agreed upon between Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster. Penguin will pay a $200 million termination fee to Simon & Schuster's parent firm Paramount since the $2.17 billion deal could not be completed. The Justice Department sued to block the merger on antitrust grounds and the judge agreed with their argument.

Oil Prices March Higher as OPEC Calls for Emergency Meeting on Monday (Micro News for April 4, 2020 – April 10, 2020)

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will meet with Russia and other non-OPEC oil producers with “the hope of agreeing on supply cuts and ending a brutal price war.” The meeting will occur via video conference and experts believe output could be dramatically slashed. US oil prices posted a one-day gain of 25% after President Trump tweeted that he hoped output would be cut after the meeting.
